La primera fase por un monto de $250K que entró hace varios meses y, más recientemente, la segunda fase, la cual se cerró en diciembre de 2016, por $370K de fondeo adicional para completar los $620K de su Ronda Semilla. **[Carao Ventures](http://www.caraov.com/), con su red de inversionistas ángeles**, lideró la ronda, tomando el 75% del capital invertido, en la cual también participaron otras firmas de Estados Unidos como [DreamIt Ventures Fund](http://www.dreamit.com/) y [Edge Harris Ventures](http://www.edgeharris.com/), además de otros grupos de inversionistas ángeles latinoamericanos cercanos a Slidebean y a Carao Ventures.  Slidebean ofrece un software en la nube para diseñar presentaciones de manera rápida y sencilla para el usuario. **Caya, CEO de Slidebean**, menciona: *“El objetivo de esta ronda es acelerar nuestro crecimiento aún más. [Carao Ventures](http://www.caraov.com/) led the round with ~75% of the total commitment coming from **the firm’s investor network**. The remaining 25% of the funds came from US-based venture firms [DreamIt Ventures Fund](http://www.dreamit.com/) and [Edge Harris Ventures](http://www.edgeharris.com/), and other Latin American angel investor groups with strong ties to Slidebean and Carao Ventures. The company had raised a previous (pre-seed) round of financing in late 2014 for $150K from 500 Startups, Carao Ventures and the company’s founders. Slidebean offers a cloud-based software to design presentations in a fast and easy way. **Caya, CEO of Slidebean,** comments on the deal: *“The objective of this round is to accelerate our growth even more. We have thousands of users around the world, but there is potential to reach a lot more.”* Carao Ventures is the leading venture capital firm in **Central America**. Beyond investing in startups, Carao Ventures is also known for providing **integral support resources** to portfolio companies generating value at the earlier-stages of the companies’ development process.
